Hello wonderfull team!
http://stackideas.com/apps

It would be great for shop owner that are using easysocial to get a plugin that would allow to enter adress, birthday , name, first name.... felds from VM, that will be automatically shown on Virtuemart shop

Because at the moment user need to register in ES and also register in VM
Thanks for the input on this. I guess this is a matter of creating a custom fields for virtuemart in EasySocial. I will try to see if we can create a new custom field app but this app will most likely not be free considering that it isn't integrating with our own extensions

That would be awesome Mark, you should contact Valérie directly wich is the co-founder of Virtuemart, yes make it a paid extension.
I'm sure a lot of VM users will love to have this plugin in order to synchronize all datas to VM

This is Valérie profil on VM:

Though I got no specific ideas at the moment I just wanted to add that I can say, that I would be interested in lots of apps and plugins to connect to other components inside Joomla and I do not expect them to be free.

Thanks for the input on this Sabih. I have personally received a lot of "hate mails" because we were charging for Mosets tree app, Elegant template as well as Wanderers template, EasyDiscuss app (which is made free now)

It seems like some of our customers are expecting all apps released by us as free and this is why I prefer not to release any new apps because maintaining it is a PITA especially when it's free.

Hi Mark, my thinking about this would be to make a reasonnable price for the App , maybe not for easyblog, easydiscuss and komento extensions (kunena as it is free and you can find plugin everywhere free) but if you make an entry price around 19-29$ for 3rd party extension you should have not complained mail.

Customers should know that if you developp a 3rd party extension it cost time and money and there is the support behind this...

Maybe you should make a developper section for people which would like to develop their plugin and sell it on stackideas? and you will take a % on sales ( a bit what are doing Apple with the appstore)

Well, maybe not the best idea to post something like this in public but if I were you, I would release those apps with another name and a support forum with another domain to prevent these things. Maybe this could be a way for the future.

Would be great! I just recognized there are some apps/plugins at Nordmograph that are not listed at the apps section here. Maybe there would be more on this way.

Hey Sabih,

Good idea haha but I don't want to do that. It's like cheating the customers

Jux,

Define "reasonable" When you release something, you don't just release it once and forget everything and get on with your life. You need to:

1. Maintain the software until it reaches the end of life.
2. Support the software until it reaches the end of life.

"Customers should know that if you developp a 3rd party extension it cost time and money and there is the support behind this...

Good morning...

Is this plugin "in the oven"?

And yes, I think it would be not a free plugin!
