Vimeo vid embedded but not visible

Hey guys:

We just tried embedding a Vimeo video in a discussion post called Brexit the Movie. In edit it says it is there but it does not appear in the post. I probably just don't have something turned on. Can you please take a look?

I made a test by posting another vid in a reply to the Brexit post but it was from YouTube and it works.
The fix that I provided will only take affect on new posts. What Arlex had requested you to do is to fix the previous post.

When a new post is posted on the forum, EasyDiscuss automatically caches the content by doing a pre-processing on the markup so that when the user tries to view the post, EasyDiscuss doesn't process the bbcode on the fly (reducing the loading time).

Since your post earlier was already cached, the only way to test this:

1. Edit the post via phpmyadmin and change the codes accordingly

or

2. Try posting a new post with the vimeo link.

You are sharing a "http://" video but your site is on "https://". The browser wouldn't render this. What is the link of the video that you are trying to share?

It works here so technically it should work on my site as well.

Hey there,

Can you download the attached file and upload it into /administrator/components/com_easydiscuss/includes/videos/adapters/ and see if the problem still persists?

Can you update this data into your database > this table `#__discuss_posts` > `preview` columns



Just watched "Brexit the Movie" from Vimeo. At 1hr 11 minutes it is not only too long, but it was ruined by a twenty minute section of trivial and unnecessary padding from minutes 20 -40. Everything between the fisheries scandal and Tate & Lyle should be cut out.
