We have noticed an issue after most recent update.

When you view a image directly or when you receive a notification for an image it is no longer showing comments with it, but it does show them on the feed.

You can see from the first unpinned image post here has comments.

I am sorry for the delay of this reply. I've tried to replicate this issue locally and I cannot reproduce it. Can you give some steps on how to replicate this issue?

I tried to replicate it on ur demo site but uploading images does not work on the demo site, it comes up with "Please enter a valid discussion title" even when adding one.

Comments are not appearing on images, is there any help i can get to try find out why ? this is an example?

Further investigation indicates this is only happening with group photos that are posting, viewing the item does not show the comments.

Thanks for reported, we will update our demo as soon as possible.

Regarding with your main issue, I've applied some fix in this file in your site -> JoomlaFolder\media\com_easysocial\apps\group\photos\photos.php , it should work fine now.
