Mark, the only thing that I see is an upload option. I'm referring to photos, videos and galleries that members already have in their galleries. Sharing these in an EasyDiscuss post. So these would not be uploads as they already exist. This seems like the most natural and logical integration between ES and ED so I am surprised that it doesn't exist.

Ah, I see. Unfortunately it isn't possible to attach those items in EasyDiscuss currently but we do intend to allow adding of photos, videos into Joomla articles in the near future and perhaps we will add these into EasyDiscuss too since they are being processed by article plugins.

That's good to hear. If you are also using easydiscuss then it is a natural feature. And having users add a photo or video and then have to add it again every time they need to do so in EasyDiscuss is redundant and tedious. On the contrary users knowing they can build their ES profile and get more views via ED is complementary and makes both apps more powerful and useful - and more used.

For that matter events and calendar items should be sharable to ED as well. Everything from a member profile should be.

As a temporary work around is there an easy way for users to link to the actual photo or video? If you use the "Share" option you don't have a useful link to the actual media that could be displayed in a post. Instead it goes out of the thread into a user's profile.

For photo, you can find the link to be share in the EasyDiscuss by click on view original http://take.ms/OBsgl and copy the link http://take.ms/CwoJS into the photo url text field http://take.ms/lShU2
For video, unfortunately there is no temporary workaround currently.
