A video uploaded in closed group is visible for anyone with the video's URL, even non-members to the site.
So EasySocial does not seem to handle DRM on on videos. How can this be fixed?
Hi André Eidskrem,

I've tried to replicate this issue locally seems it restrict the video to non-members in the 'invite only group'
refer this screenshot: https://www.screencast.com/t/VNgVacAU
Can you provide us with non-member registered user? so we can try on your site? or perhaps, can we create a test registered user in your site?

Feel free to create a test user.
I would think that videos should only be visible to group members in any type of group?

Hi André Eidskrem,

I've create a test user username: teststackideas (you might want to delete it later) and test the user restriction viewing a video in the group 'STO Bugs (non-member) seems like I cannot view the video even I manually copy out the url.
Refer these screenshots: https://www.screencast.com/t/vem475h9dPw and https://www.screencast.com/t/Ffp3GSFYBGf

I would think that videos should only be visible to group members in any type of group?

-> The above rule is only applicable to 'invite only group' and 'closed group'
whereas for open group, non-member of the group as well can view the video inside the group.
Hope this give a better view to you Andre.

This is not what our problem is. Our concern is the following:
1) The easiest option is to only allow external videos through Facebook, Youtube etc
2) The problem with that, is that if you want the video only to be available for the group members, someone can just copy the external video URL, and share it on Internet.
3) The main reason to use Easysocial internal video, is to prevent this.
4) But everyone that has access to the group, can simply copy the VIDEO URL (not the Easysocial URL), and share the video to anyone.
In this case here, the VIDEO URL is https://shapingtheodds.com/media/community/videos/41/b1ccae00.mp4 and not the URL you have tried.
Is it not possible to store such a group VIDEO in a folder with the same login privileges as the user, so that the user will only be able to see the videos from the group he has access too, and also will have to log in in order to see the video mentioned above?

Hey Andre,

Thanks for took your time to explanation to us again, first we thought you are referring the closed group showing those video URL on the page.

But when we look at your last reply, it seems like you are referring those video storing path URL.
If that is the thing, unfortunately that was not possible to restrict this, perhaps you can try use some sort of Hotlinker.

To be honestly, I never try this Hotlinker before, base on what i know some of the hosting got allow user configuring Hot Link Protection from their Cpanel, perhaps you can consult with your webhosting provider regarding this and see how it goes?
