Video Upload in EasyArticles

Hello,
I've tried to include a self hosted video in an article. In the Easy article editor there is a video button but after uploading and selecting the video, this doesn't show in article. I get an error in Google console- Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404. What can i do to make it work?

EasyArticles does not process video uploads. The video that you uploaded must be pre-compressed on your computer and ensure that it is in a format that is play-able on web format.

However, wouldn't it be better if you upload the video on Youtube and embed a youtube player instead? This way you get traffic from both sites vice versa.

Thanks for answer , but I don't want to use Youtube.
What format do you suggest?

You may refer to the table at https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTML/Supported_media_formats . Ideally, you should use mp4 encoding for your videos.
