Hi there

I still have a problem with larger video uploads. I have different profile types. For each profile I assigned 200 Mb upload size. So it makes no difference which profile type you choose max. upload size will be 200 MB.

Upload seems to be fine if I will not exceed more than 90 MB. Larger files no chance. I am not sure it could be a problem with php.ini settings I have no idea.

Would you mind if you check this issue again since it is very important to my side that I have a free upload max size of 200 MB.
Hi Peter,

I've try to upload a video with size 109MB and actually it does upload but the process (encoding by FFMpeg) was slow
Most likely the -preset has set to slow, Can you consult with your webhosting provider regarding this?

Thank you Muhammad,

Actually I am running a root server where I had to install FFMPEG manually. In fact Mark kindly did this for me. Over the plesk server control panel, it is quiet simple to adjust php.ini Unfortunately I am not to familiar with server settings. Since you have server access "site settings log in information provided" feel free to check what we can do. If you have a chance?

Hey Peter,

We still unable to figure out this upload issue when upload larger file on your server, because it seems like this also happen when you upload that video file through Joomla media manager as well, you can check my video here : http://take.ms/Bmqs4

Based on what i see that uploading percentage, it did uploading but until 10% then re-uploading again, after that hitting this "Failed:err_connection_reset".

Then I also global search in Google, it seems like other user also hitting this kind of similar issue when they using Plesk server, perhaps you can contact with Plesk hosting support and see if they know something regarding this? Because now that is not only Easysocial part unable to upload larger file (less than 200MB), even Joomla part also unable to upload.

Keep us update if your hosting find out the issue.

Thank you Arlex,

I understand Arlex. I guess up to 80MB should not be a Problem. At the moment there not so many user on my site which is fine. Since I am doing Equestrian Sports people trying to show there horses to the public all the time. It could cause a problem one day if site is growing because of more and more users trying to show their horses. I think we leave this subject the way it is at the moment. Do you have any alternative Idea. Like I said, it works fine up to 80 MB Uploads. It seems to be not an FFMPEG problem?

You will always have server access to my side. Feel free to check inside plesk other options if you like. Since facebook is going becoming more and more stronger in the videos I guess Video broadcasting becomes a very important issue for social networks.

Thanks for understand Peter, perhaps you can try consult with Plesk support and see whether got anything need to be configure to allow user to upload larger file into your server?

Because it actually not related with the FFmpeg encoding video part yet, even when i upload 1 file which contain 197MB into Joomla media manager, it show Failed:err_connection_reset, you can pass this video to your hosting provider if you have contact to them. http://take.ms/Bmqs4

Since facebook is going becoming more and more stronger in the videos I guess Video broadcasting becomes a very important issue for social networks.

Thanks for your input, this is something we will see if we can implement this in the future.
