Hi everybody!

I was successful uploading my videos in my EasySocial instance.

I have setup an S3 bucket as remote storage for everything. I noticed the videos are not stored in the Bucket. In the configuration backend setting for Videos, I can configure a relative path for my Server but not point to my remote storage S3 bucket.

How can I point the storage of videos to my S3 bucket?

Thx.
Robert
There is something wrong with your previous key for some reasons. I have re-generated a new set of keys in your AWS IAM panel Video is synchronizing correctly now.

P/S: Previously the images also failed because of the invalid keys

Hey Robert,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. Can you download the attached file and upload it into /administrator/components/com_esysocial/includes/cron/hooks and let me know if you still have issues synchronizing to S3 for videos?

Currently you can't configure the "relative path" for videos on S3 as it would use the same relative path as the server.

Hello Mark,

Thank you for your help.

First I renamed the original storage.php file and then I copied your attached file in the directory you mentioned.

The cron job I have scheduled is configured in the control panel of CloudAccess. This job is brave synchronizing my photos to S3. I do not have configured any other/additional cron job configuration in EasySocial.

Is there anything else what I need to consider?

Thank you and br.
Robert

Hey Robert,

Once you replaced my file, when the cronjob kicks in, the videos would be uploaded to S3 provided that you configure the "Videos" under "remote storage" settings to Amazon S3

Hi Mark,

it doesn't. Is this because under settings>videos there is also an configuration parameter for Video storage path: "Storage Path (Relative to Joomla root folder)".

For my understanding: Does the "Videos" under "remote storage" parameter overrides the parameters under "Settings > Video"?

Thnx.

Okay it seems like you renamed the old file storage.php to original_storage.php and this actually caused an error in the cron. The cron actually searches for files in the "hooks" folder and if you renamed it, it won't work. I have removed that file and the cron will upload the files to S3 correctly now when you upload new videos

Hi Mark,

for some reason I needed to modify the original storage.php. Therefore I made a security back-up of storage.php. ...but I can't remember why.I have to dig through my comments. But since then my system is not syncing anymore with S3. I uploaded a new video and there is nothing in S3.

I have a crob job in Cloud Access configured: http://www.aramgrid.com/index.php/en/?option=com_easysocial&cron=true

Last details from logfile from S3 are:

Bucket: www-aramgrid-com
Folder: logs
Name: 2015-12-20-10-49-27-305EDCA647C8B478

Size: 320

It seems like there is only "read" access for the folder because Amazon is returning the following errors:

P/S: The admin login is not working again.

Hi Mark!

Thnx.I did not changed the admin login. I tried and is still working as before.

Regarding S3: Fotos are uploaded to S3. EasySocial was able to create the directories etc. Is there a special treatment for videos?
