Hey Danny,

May i know do you have customise your stream layout css? Because I've tried share a link in my locally stream, it actually won't show the thumbnail at the full width size, you can check my attached screenshot below.

The reason why it require to click 2 times is because the first image is actually is a thumbnail image for the video, after you click again, it will zoom in the video and show the play button.

Yes, just like the preview image was set to full width, so was the video teaser.

Is there not a way to skip that extra click and have the video start directly just like FB does ?

Unfortunately that was not easy to modify this as this is default behaviour in current system, you can take a look of these 2 following file which process this thing :
JoomlaFolder\media\com_easysocial\apps\user\links\themes\default\streams\preview.create.php
JoomlaFolder\media\com_easysocial\scripts\site\stream\video.js
