Hello friends
I have tried to add an external link to a video located in amazon s3
But I have not had any results.
I have a video component but I would like to delete it and use ES video to make the video links from amazon s3
The process develops well and when I publish it appears all the info but not the video ..
I do not know where I'm lost ... !!
Hello Miguel,

What JCE does is probably just use a standard player to render the output of the video. In EasySocial and EasyBlog, we actually crawl the site to scrape for information of the video (as in a connection is made to the particular page and the html contents of the page is retrieved) . Think of this as viewing a page with your browser, right clicking the page to view the source. This is what our scripts are doing.

What we plan to do in the near future is to allow videos that are uploaded in EasySocial to be embeddable on other sites by generating embed codes and this could probably be linked with EasyBlog or other places as a matter of fact.

Perhaps, you can try change the permission of the video?

Thanks Muhammad for your quick help.
Amazon s3 has a system to protect the videos from being copied and reproduced in another web
That is to say they can be reproduced in the webside that is published.
I leave this example of the same video link in a post (using the JCE editor)

If you copy the video link and try to see it elsewhere you will receive the message you saw.

Hi Miguel,

To be honest, as I go through some testing seems like this is not possible to embed this video (amazon video) as it doesn't have og tag where EasySocial cannot crawl all the data where analogically should working as Facebook.
I've try to embed the link in the Facebook, seems like it cannot crawl the video data as it will appear as a link.
Perhaps, you can upload the video instead of embed it

The idea of using Amazon s3 is not to recharge my shared plan and thus keep my website lighter.
I am using Amazon to store the photos, files and videos of ES,
if I upload the video from ES (as you recommend it) this would be stored in Amazon s3 bucket !!
What I do not understand is because I can share the video link in the JCE editor and not in the EB editor or in ES ...!
I can use a separate component for videos on my web but I think it would be cool and more social if I did it from ES (or ultimately from EB as a post) Regards
