Hi!

When I try to upload a video, encoding is taking forever ("Encoding your video...0%" message stays showing and nothing happens afterwards).

Configuration looks just fine as you can see on screenshots.

My site is running EasySocial 1.4.1 Stable on Joomla! 3.4.4

Any help will be very appreciated.

Thank you!

Hi Arlex!

Yes, I believe the FFMpeg path is correct. Besides, I think the video configuration will only show up completely if EasySocial recognize the path. Please, correct me if I'm wrong.

I apologize the trouble with access, it was the Firewall. Could you try again?

Thank you very much for your reply.

Hey Roberto,

When I trying to upload 1 video in your site 1 time, it generate a php warning on your server error_log file.

[11-Oct-2015 07:00:38 UTC] PHP Warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library '/opt/alt/php55/usr/lib64/php/modules/ffmpeg.so' - libswscale.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory in Unknown on line 0

In the meanwhile, I also search this similar php warning message in Google, I found this post -> http://developerinstincts.blogspot.my/2009/11/php-warning-php-startup-unable-to-load.html

Can you consult with your webhosting provider regarding this and pass this reference link then see is it will find out something?

Once your webhosting provider do response you, Keep us updated then.

Hi Arlex!

They said the ffmpeg task initiated by the website is trying to use an option which is not available in the installed version of the ffmpeg.
They are reviewing other available options for ffmpeg as we speak.

I will update this thread once the fix is ready.

Thank you very much for the guidance.

Hey Roberto,

Which version of ffmpeg is installed on the server? Currently we have only tested this with version 2.6.x.

Hi Mark and Arlex, they installed ffmpeg version 2.2.1, the higher version for CloudLinux, and the issue still there.

Have you guys tested the scripts on v2.2.1?

Thank you!

Hey Roberto,

2.2.1 is pretty ancient and we have not tested this with 2.2.1 yet The latest version of ffmpeg is actually v2.8. Can you contact them and see if they are able to update to at least 2.6.x ?

Hi Mark, looks like I have a little trouble.

Unfortunately, 2.2.1-65 (released during 2nd QT of 2014) appears to be the latest version available on CloudLinux. Manually installing newer versions via RPMs could break things, and it is not advisable to do so.

Do you think that would be any workaround?

Thanks,

Roberto

Hey Roberto,

I don't actually have version Ffmpeg version 2.2 If you can spawn a cloud instance for me, I could test this out for you.
