Hello,

A very simple and powerfull to have more conversions (registrations) way i discovered this morning on the SendinBlue website,
an horizontal module with name, email and password fields that call users to register without hestitating about looong registration pages.

After registration a confirmation email is sent, after clicking on the link you are redirected to your profile page to continue filling the other fields !

Would like to suggest a similar process in easysocial :

1. quick registration (name, email, password)
2. confirmation
3. Profile fields filling

please check the attached screenshots.
I love the idea too!

Hello, just an example, i registred today on a website (zoom.us) and found their registration funnel very easy.

You tape your email adresse only and a confirmation is sent
after clicking on the sent link you are redirected to a page with three steps to update your profil (name, ..) and invite people.

The most advantageous in this method is that w can capture people emails and increase registration %
even if those persons dosent continue registration we can re send email to invite them again.

i realy like how it work,
please try yourself to register its free (webinar service) :

You can already achieve most of the suggestion here but it needs some CSS override. Since you can set a custom field that will appear during registration in your profile type you just need to modify the CSS to make it look like you want.

Here's the registration form in our site:

There are some nuisance on the registration workflow since ES is following Joomla's style of creating an account. Joomla's way is outdated IMO, for example: asking a user to copy and paste the token ID. Latest versions of ES has already bypassed that by adding the token id in the link provided in the email but it will still redirect users to that form, which to me is not applicable anymore.

Maybe the best way to suggest is to decouple ES from Joomla's style of registration and stream line it just like what HMED suggested above.

THIS IS ABSOLUTE MUST. We need to simplify registration in first step and then when is user more engaged with the site filll in the rest.

Believe me, I tried hard to make it work with ES as simple as possible on our site. Even with css etc not perfect.
See here:

Action button
https://www.laskatu.sk (click on big button Staň sa členom)
or directly to
Quick registration https://www.laskatu.sk/socialna-siet/registracia

login page is also simple - https://www.laskatu.sk/prihlasenie

Inspiration?
1. Facebook
2. Okcupid https://www.okcupid.com/signup

Whats next?
1. Login / registration must be mobile first
2. Ideal registration on button register with FB or add your name and email.
Remove all distractions

And this one where you can share your friends is also perfect. Plus integrate possibility to get list of your gmail contacts -> to make it easier for user - not to type each email. Or make it with Facebook....there is also email available....

me again, because this is very important.
i'm preparing to launch a new b2b feature on our community. for that we have invited some b2b partner to check our service before we go public. some feedbacks about the registration process from them so far: in context they say it does need to much time to register on our webpage!

lovely stackteam, i hope you could optimize the user experience for the registration.
