Hello, I'm finished with vbulletin 4.X CMS and am looking for a feasible solution. I already purchased EasyBlog and plan on migrating articles. However the migration tool does not seem to support this.

My question is, has anyone ever done this? If so, how? I am fairly handy with SQL databases and can do alot of things manually. Just looking for a good approach. I have over 1,000 blog posts.

Secondly, is EasyDiscuss migration supported for Vbulletin 4.X forum/users?

Many thanks.
Hello Michael,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. We don't actually have a migrator tool for vbulletin currently However, if those blog posts are actually created by a single user, you can re-map them using sql queries and place them under the #__easyblog_post table.

As for migration for vBuleltin in EasyDiscuss, yes we do have a built in migrator for vBulletin

Not a problem, I think it will be fairly simple to copy the articles in SQL. Does the vBulletin migrator also copy passwords?

Hi Michael Yanda ,

Are you mean that user login password?

If yes, Unfortunately Easydiscuss vBulletin migrator will not included migrate your user data in Joomla user table, you have to manually migrate your vb user table in Joomla user table.

You have to do this few following thing :
1) Backup Current vB Database
2) Import Updated vB Database table to Joomla DB
3) Export vB Users Table
4) Import vB Users Table into Joomla's #_user table (using 3rd party extension)
5) Only run the migrator Tool in ED
