Hi,
i come from Belgium and have a vat number.
I see you charge VAT and don't give the opportunity to specify the vat number and avoid charging it.
How can i do to avoid this ?
Regards,
Olivier
Hello Olivier,

I am really sorry for the inconveniences caused earlier. We have already created a ticket with our merchant regarding this as normally, if you enter your "business name", the VAT id field should automatically appear.

Hi Olivier,

Thanks for writing in and i am really sorry for the late reply. For more details on VAT, kindly refer to http://www.fastspring.com/vat.php to understand how VAT is charged.

The screenshot that you referring to shows the quantity of license therefore you may ignore that. You can just proceed ahead to renew and make the payment.

Regards,
Tan

I understand, i can see this :
What If I Have a VAT ID?

Businesses making digital purchases can be exempted from VAT Tax by providing their valid VAT ID at the time of purchase. For those providing a VAT ID, no VAT Tax will be charged, and the VAT ID will be included on the invoice we provide at purchase completion.

So i have a VAT ID, how can i specify it ? When i go to Paypal, the VAT is present so ?
Regards,
Olivier

Hi Olivier,

Sorry for the late reply. In order for a VAT Field to appear during the order process, you must enter a EU country. The VAT field will appear on the screen following the billing details. Hope these will help you

Hi Olivier,

Sorry for the confusion, maybe my explanation of the sentence wasn't clear to you. Let me explain to you again.

In order for a VAT Field to appear during the order process, you must fill in all the contact information / mailing address with a EU country and proceed with Next button. The VAT Field will appear on the next page which is the payment part where you can insert all the Credit Card Details.

Here is the screenshot.

Tan

Yes and no.
If you choose paypal you are redirected to paypal immediately without having the possibility to specify the VAT.
If you choose credit card, you could specify the VAT, as i don't have the time to wait another day i will pay with my credit card.
But can i suggest to fix this problem.
Regards,
Olivier

Hi.

I'm bringing back this thread because I have the same problem with Olivier.

The problem although seems to be only for Greece, because when I change the country to Germany, Belgium, or another EU country the VAT field appears.
When I change it back to Greece the VAT field disappears.

How can I avoid the VAT charge on a purchase I wish to make?

Hello Marios,

You can't avoid VAT because it's a rule that is imposed by the governing country on our merchant You can write to us at https://crm.stackideas.com and we'll try to contact our merchant if they could handle special cases like this.
