Hi Mark,
I understand the number 1 reason but popularity is what I don't get
I respectfully disagree with you if you put popularity into consideration in-place of logical reason. Since you awesomely added a file management feature in group cluster, is it not logical to work on basic file management functionality? What I meant with basic is moving folders, folder tree, moving files, etc. Imagine what will be your reaction if Finder in Mac does not have those functionalities but Apple made it available?
Your number 3 point, I understand this working in IT for many years. It would be so much helpful to have a roadmap just like you have with your change log so when we are asked by our clients in return, we have something to tell them
right? I can't speak with your other clients in terms of that logic, but in our environment, we get feedback and complaints about the UI. What I noticed with users is, if they cannot use it they will simply abandon or refuse to use it or keep on complaining about it.
On the side note in the new feature you guys added in ES v3.x, the Advertisement. I got excited with it when I first saw it but then it lacks basic features again. I don't know about you but in my understanding of advertisement, I need to know the metrics of my ad else there's no point on pushing an ad or spending money on it. There's no feature to pay for advertisement as well, please don't tell me to buy another component to do this
I'm willing to pay for add-on feature specifically designed for ES Advertisement rather than an add-on designed to do everything which 90 percent of the feature I don't use and it will just create more maintenance in my part to block views it will generate and clutter joomla menu.
Lastly, I understand feature requests are not guaranteed but would be nice to see it is being heard and considered by seeing it in the road map. That reason goes back to "giving an answer to our clients -- it's in the roadmap."
Thanks,
Jackson
