Stack Ideas Team,

Just installed V1.4.4 on test server and of course I wanted to create a post with video content, so I selected the Video Icon and defined a link to a video on YouTube.

I then pulled down the selection list to select a category and none of my EasySocial Categories were in the list. Just the following categories:
General
Music
Sports
News
Gaming
Movies
Documentary
Fashion
Travel
Technology

Is there somewhere that the Video Categories need to be defined in the backend or is this an issue? Shouldn't the categories reflect the currently defined EasySocial Categories?

ALSO, the backend format was not as expected with all the menus displayed at the top of the page instead of along the side.

ALSO ALSO, before posting this I tried to search the forum for other posts that are similar, so I selected EasySocial in the pull down and searched for Video and nothing was found. HA. There are lots of post with Video in the title. May be an issue.

Thanks
Dan
Hi Daniel,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply. Please find my answers from your inquiries below.

Video features in easysocial has their own categories and it is predefined inside your backend > easysocial > videos > categories, http://screencast.com/t/q2d7XgnM5a .

the backend format was not as expected with all the menus displayed at the top of the page instead of along the side.

I am not sure if I understand you here. Do you mean that your easysocial backend is not showing like my screenshot here, http://screencast.com/t/r5c5HDhx9Dk ? Perhaps you can elaborate more and provide the screenshot so we can have a better view on your issue.

Ezrul,

Thanks for the screen shots. My admin page doesn't look anything like the image you sent. I have attached images of what I'm seeing. Here is my configuration.

OS: Ubuntu 14.04
Browser: Firefox V41.0.2
ES Ver: 1.4.4

This is a browser comparability issue with firefox.

I downloaded Chrome Browser to the system and the Administrator layout is correct in Chrome, just as you sent me. It also shows the Video Categories menu selection which makes sense.

So the issue is with FireFox.

Hi Daniel,

I believe there is a cache issue with your firefox browser. Try to clear the cache of your browser and see how it goes. Most of our customer are hitting this issue initially after they update their easysocial to version 1.4 due to some cache mechanism with their browser and their server.
