Hello,
When I use a pound sign within the text on a blog posts. It stop the intro text appearing on the frontpage layout. I have removed all pounds signs and it then displays fine.

Why can you not use pound symbols within the text on Easyblog?

Hello Karen,

Most of these teething issues has been resolved in 5.1.3. Is it possible for me to update your site to the latest version?

It was the the 2nd blog post 'A Woolly Brief Doesn't Mean You Should Fleece Your Client'

I have removed all the pound symbols hence why the text is appearing at the moment.

Hello Karen,

Yep, I updated EasyBlog to 5.1.3 and everything seems to be running fine By the way, may I suggest that you try out our grid layout rather than using nickel

I temporary tried the grid layout but I couldn't remove the showcase slideshow and all the images were cropped and I couldn't find the settings for it.

Not entirely sure what do you want me to do here. Do you mean you want to use the front page layout or do you want to use the grid layout?

Basically you told me to try out the Grid Layout. Which I have but it looks totally different to my Frontpage layout.

I know alot of it is css but in order for it to look the same I need to remove the showcase slider and stop the images cropping which I couldn't find out how to do.

I just need to know how to do those 2 things.

Hello Karen,

Ah okay sorry I got confused as you were referring to the frontpage layout and grid layout so not really sure which featured section were you referring to.

Anyway I have made some modifications on the /blogs/grid/default.php file , http://take.ms/3hQRV to remove the showcase area. This file is now stored in your template override folder by default in /templates/arthur/html/com_easyblog/blogs/grid/default.php
