Using Komento in a modal

Hi,

I've created a page at http://whazzat.org/test-komento-in-modal.html to demonstrate the issue.

When a joomla article is NOT placed in a modal - (for example at http://whazzat.org/my-komemto.html) - clicking on the Komento Reply Button below a comment, scrolls the user to the text-box where he can enter his reply.

But when. I place a joomla article in a modal, clicking on the Komento Reply Button scrolls the user to the top of the comment, instead of to the text-box for the reply.

How do I fix this?

Hello Jeff,

Anchor tags could only work on the page that you are accessing. It wouldn't be accessible if it's on a dialog window. The only work around now is that when the "modal" is clicked, it should actually scroll the modal so that it reaches the comments area (Unfortunately this is not something possible within Komento out of the box) You probably need to hack the modal links and add some of your own javascript codes.

I submitted the issue to the guys at No Number (makers of the Modal component. Here's what Peter replied:

This is a Komento issue.
You can see the same issue wen opening the page in the component subtemplate:

I don't see a problem clicking on the "Reply" link at http://whazzat.org/component/content/article/24-songs-of-wonder-vids?tmpl=component . What problems are you having with this?
