Using EasyDiscuss with EasySocial Groups

Hi,

Is it possible to associate a specific EasyDiscuss discussion/forum with specific a specific EasySocial Group?

I need a way for Groups to have discussions where all group members can create a discussion. Currently, EasySocial only allows group administrators/moderators to create discussions.

Hi Tkabe,

We do have a plan to create a group discussion apps for EasySocial that will integrate with EasyDiscuss however we do not have any exact date of release yet for this apps. Our developers are working days and nights to ensure ED 4 will release it beta phase soon and hopefully together with the release of EasyDiscuss group apps during that period.

Ezrul,

I have been watching the ED4 blog section and have not yet noticed any progress report regarding the ED ES Group App you mentioned. From your previous message it appears Stackideas goal is to include the App with ED4 or release it at the same time. Is this correct?

Will the App have a separate Alpha/beta testing schedule or is it presumed that this enhancement will be ready to go when ED4 production is released.

Since I can't find details about the ED4-ES Group app, I am curious could you confirm if this app would allow the administrator to create a forum and make this forum only accessible to a specific ES group and the group members? My project is in desperate need of this solution.

Hey Todd,

We're actually still working on some of the teething issues on EasyDiscuss 4 first but as soon as we have more details about the updated app, we'll share with everyone on our blog
