HI,

we have no issues, we need only some suggestions, how to implement the following requirement.

Actually we have a blog menu https://davidmihalka.com/en/blog-en based on Posts ( Front Page). With its menuitems it is possible to shows the posts of certain category, e.g:

https://davidmihalka.com/en/blog-en/thoughts
https://davidmihalka.com/en/blog-en/stories
...

Requirements:

1) The https://davidmihalka.com/en/blog-en still should shows all posts, without any filter
2) Additionally should be selected posts of certain category using buttons (or similar) on top of the page.

Issues:

a) If I could create a custom module based on Posts (FrontPage), then there will be a solution.... But is not possible.
b) I can not extend the generated page https://davidmihalka.com/en/blog-en with the settings, they are.
c) A solution with fixed / horizontal menuitems would most probably not possible: https://forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?f=706&t=969833 (my ticket)

Have you any idea, how to implement it ?

Thanks,

Michel
Hi there,

1) The https://davidmihalka.com/en/blog-en still should shows all posts, without any filter

Have you tried to filter them here https://take.ms/cNaR4 ? You should be able to filter them accordingly on your menu items.

a) If I could create a custom module based on Posts (FrontPage), then there will be a solution.... But is not possible.

You can use Easyblog latest module as and filter them accordingly here https://take.ms/w6NQC

b) I can not extend the generated page https://davidmihalka.com/en/blog-en with the settings, they are.

Not sure what you meant here Can you provide us with more details?

c) A solution with fixed / horizontal menuitems would most probably not possible: https://forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?f=706&;t=969833 (my ticket)

May i know that you referring to your Easyblog current view? If yes, it is because you are using nickel theme for your Easyblog as you can see here https://take.ms/G3MuF and it will shown you horizontally. It will always follow that theme you have set as default. Maybe i have miss-understand your requirement here. Can you provide is with more details so that we can have a better understanding.

Hi Warith,

thanks for your extremely fast response !

Here my answers

1) It is a requirement, which is fulfilled 100% right now and should be still fulfilled.
2) IF the LatestPost module could be configured for showing posts like Post (FrontPage) , will be ok. BUT: I tried already several combination of module attributes, no chance.
3) This is not an EasyBlog issue. It is a Joomla issue. If I could arrange the menuitems of ONLY one menu horizontally and fix it, then I'd have a solution. You can ingnore that poiint.

The only open question to your proposal: How to configure the LatestPost module to get the same result as with Post(FrontPage).

Thanks,

Michel

Hi there,

You can configure them accordingly as you can refer below.

By default, you Frontpage menu items will show you all latest post/recent post created on your site and to achieve it on Easyblog Latest Post module, you can change 'Module Type' to Recent post as you can see here https://take.ms/IbJxs

If you wanted to configure them based on respective category, you can configure them here https://take.ms/iDeQX and select which category you wanted to show here https://take.ms/UTgAH and on Frontpage menu items select them accordingly here https://take.ms/PETpH

Please give it a try first and see how it goes.
