What is the best way to setup site so that user can sign in, register and profile is configured under ES but not have ES running right now. Looking to have users build their profile and view the blog while ES is built in the background. Trying to avoid user registering again or having to set their profile details again once ES is up and running. Hope that make sense.
Hi,

I don't quite get what you mean here but if you are looking to only use the "registration" and "login" feature of EasySocial, you can add the menu item to registration and login page of EasySocial accordingly.

But unfortunately the user will still get to access the dashboard part of EasySocial as this cannot be disabled. You can hide it from the menu item / toolbar / etc but it will still be accessible through URL.

What is the difference between EB default registration/profile and the default one for ES?

That might help decide which to use because eventually would like everything to work with ES when it is ready.

Hello Peter,

I am really sorry we might have missed this post earlier. When you setup / configure EasyBlog to use EasySocial's registration, everything would be linked to EasySocial already

Hi Mark

So when EB is configured to use ES registration, I can set EB as default home and then set ES menu to admin only and it'll continue to "fill in" data (stream, points, etc.) as needed. Or is there a better method of "hiding" ES for now?

Hope that make sense.

Hello Peter,

You would still need to create a hidden menu for the registration links in EasySocial that is accessible publicly. Otherwise Joomla would assume that the user is trying to access a menu item only for "admins only".
