Hi Guys,

After updating my site to the latest version of Joomla 3.2.1, my users are unable to signup for ES; when a user visits the register page they can input all the items on the first page, but when switching to the next page, they are redirected to the login page (and of course they cannot login, as they haven't completed their registration). What can I do to troubleshoot the issue?

I am running j3.2.1 ES1.1.3 and Invitex (with ES integration and invite only option enabled) 2.8.5, so I am not sure if it is an ES or Invitex issue.

Any help is appreciated,
Chaim
Hello Chaim,

It looks like there's no menu created that is visible to the public for "EasySocial". I have created a new menu called Hidden Menu and created a menu item for the registration. It should work fine now.

Hello Chaim,

Is it possible for you to provide us with the back end and FTP access to your site to check on this issue?

Hi,

Seems like the invitation link is only good for 1 use. Could you advise on how to generate invitation links?

Jason,

On the right-hand side there is a menu with a link called "Invite Friends."

Some of the users reported success in creating their accounts, so it might be a one-tome issue with the invite. I am going to delete the invite from the DB, resend it, and post back my findings.

Have a great day,
Chaim

Hello Chaim,

Sure, let us know how this goes but if the problem still exists, you should try contacting Techjoomla though since the Invitex extension is created by them, they should know their extension better than any of us

Mark,

I will let you know how things pan out. My reason for contacting you and not techjoomla, is because the invitation link works as it should; only when switching pages (within the registration) does one encounter an error.

Hello CK,

It's actually because TechJoomla stores a "session data" which helps it to track and redirect accordingly If it is not working, then it's definitely something not right with tracking of that "session data"

Mark,

Please see below for the techjoomla response (please replace the suteurl with the correct one from previous correspondences), also do note that they have since enabled all the options/plugins mentioned in the post below that were disabled for testing purposes.

Hello Chaim,

I set the "Registration only on Invitation" to "NO", also I disabled the system and user plugins belonging to Invitex thinking that those plugins could have caused the issue. Then I went to, http://www.siteurl.com/index.php?option=com_easysocial&view=registration&Itemid=120 url in frontend and tried to register. But following this normal registration process also, when I clicked on continue button they are redirected to the login page asking to login first.

So, with this scenario It seems issue is not with Invitex.

Have a great day,
Chaim
