Once a user casts a vote, the voting of the question/reply is closed for that user. In stackoverflow a user can undo his vote by casting a vote opposite to the original one, I expected the same behavior with EasyDiscuss.

Please provide an updated version of the votes/view.ajax.php file or post a code snippet with the logic to check if the user is trying to cast the same vote type more than one time.

Thanks
I have tested this locally and upon voting up, I can also vote it down back which resets the value to 0. Am I missing anything here?

Mark, you are not missing anything. I just can't do that myself, that's why I reported it as a bug.

Hello Mustapha,

Sorry for the late reply. This is working in our test site. Please send us your backend and FTP to check this out. Please note that once you refresh the page the you can't vote down anymore. Hope this helps.

Thanks!

Hi Adelene,

now that you mention the refresh, it's exactly what happens. Is this so by design? It looked like a bug to me...

Hello Mustapha,

So sorry for the delay in getting back to you. This is actually intentional as we only allow user to vote once.

Thanks!
