Hi, it's quite an important feature of any content system to be able to edit and/or delete your own content.

I've set up the Default profile to allow users to be able to edit and delete own comments (Easysocial > Profile Types > ACL) but they cannot do this.

Is this a bug or do I need to change a setting?

Cheers, Dave
Hi David,

I've try to edit and delete my own comment, seems like it was working fine for me (as my profile type is under 'default') https://www.screencast.com/t/OTQrm8XYc

Thanks Fadhli,

I just tested and it does work when you post text only items. As soon as you add a link to the item, you can no longer edit or delete the item.

Hi David,

I'm not sure I'm replicate this issue correctly or not,
here is the way that I'm trying to reproduce the issue: https://www.screencast.com/t/YliQy6e99Seu
Perhaps, I'm doing it wrongly?

Thanks Fadhli, I just attached an image that describes the problem. It seems you can't edit or delete a post that has links, comments on that post can be edited.

Also, I can't delete a text-only post. Can only edit these with the default profile.

Hi David,

Oh now I know where you mean by 'comment links'. As you mention above, this actually the default behavior for now where embed-able stream item (such links, video, photo) is not edit-able. However, user still able to delete the stream item: https://www.screencast.com/t/vUnJnK2tTa

P/s: Our developers has already aware about the uneditable embeds stream item where this feature might be included in our major EasySocial 2.1 release

Sorry Fadhli, you've been a Super User and Admin the whole time.

Have just downgraded your account to a normal Registered user. Log in and try it this time, you'll see that those options no longer appear.

Hey David,

As mentioned by my colleague earlier, editing isn't possible on non text updates but deleting should still be possible. I can see that I am unable to delete the link post on the site.

I need to check your site but the ftp access isn't working. Is it possible for you to edit your post to include the FTP access and also set another user with super administrator privilege so that I can review your settings?
