Hi there,

I am doing some testing on my soon to launch site. I changed the settings vie Profile/Access to not allow users at a certain category to create albums. Even though I set the settings, it still allows those users to create albums. I did make some other changes to those users permissions and they worked fine but when it comes to albums it does not do as it is told.


Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Strange, my patch on your site went missing I've repatch the fix on your site. Can you give it a try again?

Hm, not too sure if I get you here. Did you mean you disallow the creation of albums?

Yes, If you go to Profile/Registered Users/Access/ Photos and disable 'create albums'. I presume after doing that a user will not be able to create albums. Therefore, my users should not be able to create albums if I don't allow them, no?

Hi David,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply.

Em, strange, I cant replicate this issue from my end here. After disabled the create album option from the profile, users in this particular profile no longer able to create album. Can you pass me your Joomla backend superadmin access so that I can take a look into your issue?

Hi David,

Thanks for the access. I've fixed the issue and applied the patch on your site too. Now your 'registered' users no longer able to create new albums
The fix will be added into next release of EasySocial

Hi Sam,

I just logged in as a registered user (after resetting Safari) and I can still create an album... Did I misunderstand? should I have just waited to the next release?
