Some people like username. Some people like real name (in the case of facebook log-in integration too.) Is it possible to give the registered user an option to display their username or real name, rather than making it one or the other for everyone?

Additionally, is it possible to have privacy option on real name, in the case that username is used universally? Real name can be optionally displayed in the about section of user profile.

Please advise if these questions need to be added to feature request(s). Thanks!
Hi Jo,

Unfortunately these are not possible currently.

As you mentioned, they can be optionally be displayed in the about section as determined from the custom field setting(http://take.ms/XTuxr).

Alternative 1: Users can edit their real name if they do not want to show their 'real' name.

Alternative 2: You can create a textbox custom field which lets users input their name. The textbox custom field have privacy options(http://take.ms/VIeSK).

You can post these to EasySocial's feature requests category as well to get your idea out there.
