Hi!

I would like to use the users USERNAME rather than their REALNAME...
i dont see that setting anywhere in EasyBlog...

thank you!
Hello,

You can find the setting in Backend>Categories, select the category and the setting will be under Post Options tab: http://screencast.com/t/28iC8MlZE4w . Hope this helps.

Best Regards,
Nick.

Hi Benjamin,

Regarding the name display format setting, I've added the missing setting to EasyBlog backend under Settings -> Layout -> General ->Display settings the 'Name Display Format ' at your site. I've then configured the name display format to 'username'. Now your site is showing username instead of real name

For your information, the Backend -> Categories -> [select the category] -> Post Options the author name display setting will be removed as this setting now become a duplicate setting in EasyBlog

The fix will be included in next release of EasyBlog
Hope this help and have a nice day!

Hello, I have the same problem/question.. I am using

Installed Version: 5.0.9
Latest Version: 4.0

The option you describe Settings -> Layout -> General ->Display settings the 'Name Display Format ' is not in that settings panel. Although it is still under Categories, but does nothing.. so how do I set this?

see attached image for what I see.

Hi Dmitry,

I think he actually added some code to mine to get it to show... i just recently updated to 5.0.9 and his fix disappeared though...

i did however find the setting in Categories-->[category name]-->Post Options on the bottom right panel.
Im not sure from what you wrote if youre saying that setting doesnt do anything for you though. ALso i just noticed easyblog has been updated to 5.0.11 maybe worth a shot?

thanks.. yes, the Categories-->Post Options does nothing. They mentioned this was being discontinued or moved.. so I think they disabled it in one place and forgot to re-enable in another.. Any idea what the changes were that he made to your template?

Actually, just took a look at patches and this may have been fixed in build 5.0.10, just saw this:

Fixed missing name format setting in EasyBlog backend under settings page.

negative... and since the update his changes seemed to have disappeared... i was looking for a file with a different modification date but it seems to have been overwritten.

i may download 5.0.11 and see if the change is in there though.

Hi Guys,

Yes, this fix already added into EasyBlog 5.0.10 so if you are still using older version of EasyBlog 5.0.x, you will need to upgrade to 5.0.10 or newer version
