I’m installed on Joomla 2.5.14 on a Godaddy Linux.

I’m on a Win 7 PC and I can register just fine using Chrome and Firefox but when I try with Internet Explorer 10 the Username option just refreshes and stays red and in IE 9 it gives an error message “No Transport”. Something similar happened on an Android but I don’t know what browser she was using.

Now I just had my wife try Chrome and she’s getting the same issue I have with IE in that the username is simply not accepting anything, just staying red.

Attached are screenshots of the Username field values. I believe they are default.
Hello Bob,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. I believe I have already responded you via our ticketing system but in your case, you are actually editing the user in the wrong area. That screen that you are on is the "profile builder" where you customize which fields appears for a profile type.

If you want to edit a user, go to the back end of EasySocial and click on the Users tab on the sidebar. Then, click on a user's name

No, sorry, but apparently you did not understand what the issue is. My previous screen shots were simply to show you what the username settings were.

When someone goes to the site, the front end at http://seethemodel.com then click Connect, and tries to sign up, they are not able to input anything in the Username field. I have attached a screenshot to show you what I mean. My wife was getting the error that said something about Transport.

When I installed EasySocial two days ago my Joomla version was 2.5.14. I upgraded to 2.5.17 since my previous post and it seems to have helped the issue some, but I still seem to get it.

Seems like if I go from seethemodel.com then click Connect and then Register, it happens on my IE 10. However, if I go directly to http://seethemodel.com/community/registration it seems to work.

I'm really confused with this.

Hello Aloha Bob,

I have tried follow your instruction ( start from seethemodel.com then click Connect and then click Register ) and reproduce with your issues, but it seems like work fine for me and no hitting any error for this “No Transport” in my IE9, see my video : http://screencast.com/t/7XUgnz9b

That's strange, i also tried to upgraded to IE10 and test it again, it seems like work fine for me, see my video : http://screencast.com/t/VRerwvUdlnYr
Am i miss some of step here? Please advise.

I think that upgrading from Joomla 2.5.14 to 2.5.17 may have helped.

I thought this was fixed but I'm still getting some people having issues. My wife tried again on IE 9 and Chrome and got the Transport error under username again. Screen attached.

And another person tried and this is what he said. Getting frustrated.

It's it possible that the version of Joomla is too old? Something else I should look for?

Hi,

This is most likely that you have the $live_site parameter set to "seethemodel.com" in your configuration.php.

If you can test this by registering on http://www.seethemodel.com/community/registration where it does not work, but in http://seethemodel.com/community/registration (without the www) and it does work properly.

To fix this, leave the $live_site parameter empty in your configuration.php.
