Seems like you're using older version of Easydiscuss, would you mind to update it to the latest version and see if the issue is still persist?

p/s: as you undergo update it will effect your core file, you're suggested to backup your customization if any

Yes, I do have cloudfare, howevere I have a pagerule to bypass cloudfare cache for accademiainfinita.it/test*
so I don't think cloudfare is playing any role on the test site

the issue is visible both on the live site (cloudfare enabled) and on the test iste (cloudfare disabled)

After further checking on this, somehow your server did not get the file if the namespace got dot(.)
I've replace the file(I've attached it below as well):
.../media/com_easydiscuss/scripts/site/easydiscuss-4.1.3.js
Can you give it another try?

I've also logged this issue into our issue tracker so that our developer will take an action for this.

Weird, I've tested seems working fine on our end http://take.ms/3Nx80 I also ask my colleague to try it, seems it working fine for them as well.
May I know what browser that you used? Can you try clear your browser cache just in case.

Now it's working, it was due to the browser cache for sure.
