I currently have EasyBlog V5.0.28 installed with EasySocial V1.3.29 and want to understand if there is a way to control the Blog Post target audience based on the authors user profile.

I have two types of User Profiles:
> Member = Registered ACL
> Leader = Editor ACL

I want Members to be able to create Blog Posts to Only Me and My Friends.
I want Leaders to be able to create BLOG Posts to Everyone, Registered Users, My Friends and Only Me.

In EasyBlog there is a great ACL configuration section where I can control the functionality of the Registered and Editor ACL settings, however I cannot find a way that I can control the target audience that the author can send their BLOG to.

Is this possible or is this currently a limitation of EasyBlog 5?

Thanks
Dan
Hey Daniel,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is actually a public day off for us here. You will need to enable the privacy integrations under Settings > Integrations > EasySocial

When the option is enabled, composing a new post allows you to extend to other privacy options in EasySocial.

Thanks Mark,

Just what I'm looking for. I have set the PRIVACY = YES Description = "With this setting, you can determine who is allowed to view your Blog posts. If enabled user will be able to user Privacy Settings from EasySocial"

Now when I log on to EasySocial in the Front-End, the user has the option to define their Privacy Settings. This is clear, but I don't understand in the Privacy settings where they can define who is allowed to view BLOG Post? I've attached a screen shot of the Privacy Settings that I'm looking at.

Maybe I'm missing something or don't understand the functionality.

Thanks
Dan

Hi Daniel,

I am sorry for the confusion here.

Easyblog does not have the ability to specify which profile types or which specific user are able to view the blog post. Easyblog can only integrate the following privacy options that are inherited from easysocial as you can see from my screenshot here, http://screencast.com/t/jtbB99qZDdcQ . You can find the privacy settings inside the bottom right of the composer.

Thanks Ezrul

That clarifies what EasyBlog can do as far a privacy options based on EasySocial Profiles. I will put in an enhancement request on the site for EasyBlog.

Thanks
Dan
