I am having a HECK of a time getting my JomSocial user fields to import correctly into EasySocial. I would dearly love a way to import or modify the user field values with a CSV file or something faster.

The other issue I am having is that the JomSocial migrator is taking just an ASTOUNDINGLY long time to run. I've run it every night for several hours, about 11 hours total, and it's only halfway through the connections. It only runs as long as the screen is awake, so I have to be sitting there keeping the browser alive. At this rate, I won't be able to convert my users in a reasonable time period when I finally make the move in production. Is there a better/faster way, or a way that I can leave it running overnight?

Also - what happens if new users join or fields are changed after the migration is run? Does running it again catch anything like that?
Hi Beth,

If you have a very large user's data in your JomSocial, then the migration will take time to complete. Maybe you can set your computer to not go into sleep mode and let the migration process run overnight? But i'm just curious, do you have many users registered in your site? Also, do you have alot of albums and photos? EasySocial actually re-create all these albums and photos thus it take time to process the photos creation.

If you want, I can help you to check why the processing is taking so long to complete. Can you pass me your Joomla backend admin access and your ftp account so that I can try run the migration for you?

Also - what happens if new users join or fields are changed after the migration is run? Does running it again catch anything like that?

When there is a new user joined in your JomSocial, rerun the migrator will not re-migrate those migrated items. The migrator will only migrate the new users. As for the changes in fields, I am sorry but the migrator will not be able to bring the changes into EasySocial

Ideally you should only run the migrator one time to migrate all your profile fields and users data from JomSocial into EasySocial. Offcourse, you still can re-run the migrator for new users

Hope this help and have a nice day
