When a new user registers, that person receives an email confirming their application (which then requires admin approval).

Is it possible that the email requires that the user confirm that he/she is the person that registered? When they confirm their request to register, the administrator is then notified of their registration request.

Summarizing the process:
1. "New User" registers at the site
2. "New User" receives initial confirmation email and is then required to confirm their request to register
3. "New User" clicks on the confirmation link
4. "New User" receives email that states that they have confirmed their request to register and that the "Administrator" must review and approve their registration
5. At the same time as step 4, "Administrator" receives the confirmation email and can accept or reject the "New User" registration

Thanks
OK. Thanks. I recommend that this feature be included in a future release. It is quite common on many websites and it helps to ensure the integrity of the website registration process by reducing phony/spam registrations.

Hello William Matson ,

Sorry for late reply to this,
You can select this option from your backend > Easysocial > profile type > select your profile type > Registration > Registration type - Require admin approval
Hope this help.

Hello Alex --

You misunderstand my question. I already require Admin approval.

I am inquiring whether it is possible for the New Registrant to first receive an email asking him if he submitted the request for joining the community and to confirm that he is requesting membership in the community. After confirming interest, the Administrator would then receive an email notifying him that a request was made to join the community. At this point, the Administrator can then accept or reject the New Registrant's membership.

Hello...

4 years have passed since the creation of this ticket. Please forgive me for bringing it back. Has this feature been available?

This option is a MUST HAVE for online communities.

Hm, this feature has not been added into the core yet because we have not received enough requests for such a feature and at that point of time, we already have several options for registrations. Having this feature would mean it would need to combine the existing "Require Approval" and "User Verification" process.

Exactly... it would need to combine the existing "Require Approval" and "User Verification" process.

Is there a counter somewhere with feature requests?

As a matter of fact i saw a previous answer of Alex Wong... "We will see if we can implement this in the future..."

He does not state anywhere that this will be implemented if...

On the other hand...

this is not new feature and must non be considered as such!

This is a security option that allows to EasySocial users do their work without having to deal with fake registrations!

Why do we have to delete fake mail users after they have used our site? The only information about a new user that can be confirmed is the e-mail.

I would like to read your thoughts regarding the above.

Thank you.
