Hello,

I need only questions and answers. Nothing else. I made all the appropriate changes according my needs, seems to work fine until now, but no one receives email. (the user who make a question and the admin that someone made a question).

Theres nothing else i can do. Can you help me?
Hi Mavros,

May I know whether you are referring to new questions, or new replies?

Have you checked the email activity section of EasyDiscuss and are the notification emails generated there(http://take.ms/5XvWE)?

If the notification is generated but you are not receiving them, you may need to check the cronjob

Hey Mavros,

It appears that the mail function is not enabled in your server(http://take.ms/XpGYA). I noticed this when I try to send a test email from your Joomla mail server settings: http://take.ms/iVEuA

Can you consult your webhosting provider to enable the mail function as it is need to send emails out?

Hey Mavros,

I checked your site again and Joomla test mail still does not work, plus the system information is still showing mail as a disabled function(http://take.ms/0sNH4).

Please advice.

Hey Mavros,

May I know which user is not getting the emails(a sample case would be good so I can test this out)? Are the notification generated in email activities? And which type email you are referring to, for new post or new reply?

Raymond hello,

First off all you should know that the users are not logged on the system. they make the question, give their name and email and thats all. In this way the system in the previous site was operating.
The notifications are generated in email activities and i m refferringto new posts

Hey Mavros,

Thanks for the info.

So from what I understand, you are saying that when a guest user create a new post, the email notification to the guest user(author) is generated, but they did not receive the actual email. Is this correct?

I checked your notification settings, and realized that this setting is not enabled(http://take.ms/2cEsP). If you want the author to receive new post email notification(or email notification for any other 'own' actions), this option must be enabled.

If you want to send to other non-registered users, they have to first subscribe to EasyDiscuss because the system does not know the emails of guest users if they do not subscribe.
