Hi there,

I would like to use mijoshop as login provider on my site. That way I ensure the user to provide all the info needed if they decide to use the shop later on.
Is there a way I can add this my selfe with overrides??

PS! My company hold a licens for the software..
Hello Robert,

Unfortunately, this is not possible out of the box but you can always modify the file /components/com_easydiscuss/helpers/helper.php and locate the method "getLoginLink"

Hello Robert,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. Unfortunately you can't override the helper.php That is actually a core file.

Bart. I ended up hardcoding the helper.php file and added the Mijoshop register/login url there. Stackideas need to reconsider how they deliver the codestructure to make it as easy as possible to override.

Hope it helps, thanks!

Thanks for the heads up on this Robert but the template override feature is one of the easiest way to actually override the default behavior.

Hello Robert,

If you are overriding the theme files, it has always been possible to override the html codes. Am I missing anything here?

Hi Robert,

Thanks for that, do you think you could share your modified helper.php file ?

Mark, your comments are confusing and contradictory to your original comment, originally you said you cant override, now you say you can override by using the template html file, this does not allow you to make the change in the easydiscuss configuration though, or am I missing something?

Bart, Im affraid i dont have access to it any more. But if I remember correctly you will find the register urls used today inside the file, so editing it should be easy even with minimal coding experience.
