I have a small, private Joomla website that's intended for invited users only. Hence all the content is only available to registered users. I have it set up with a News tab and show Recent News in a panel on the home screen. I'd like users to be able to subscribe to news and get emails with the news article.

I've tried to do this via a notification component that sends email, but it only sends a link. I've tried to integrate an RSS feed with Mailchimp, but it can't access articles that are for registered users. So I'm hoping that Easyblog can solve my problem. My requirements are:

1) The ability for users to subscribe to a news blog and get an email whenever a new post is made. A plus feature would be to get posts if content is changed.

2) A module that shows the latest, non-expired posts.

Will Easyblog do this?
Hi Bill,

Kindly find my response for your inquiries below:
1) The ability for users to subscribe to a news blog and get an email whenever a new post is made. A plus feature would be to get posts if content is changed.

Yes, user are able to subscribe for sitewide or/and certain category. And for the email notification if there is blog post content change (automatically) is not available yet. But you can always manually send the email notification throughout backend settting as example: https://www.screencast.com/t/YFTLImWSm

2) A module that shows the latest, non-expired posts.

Yes you can use easyblog latest blogs module
