Hi there,
I am facing a usability issue with EasyBlog in EasySocial where either I am missing something entirely, or I seem to be stuck.
When I go to the application and select New Post it presents the template option. I select a template and then get to the post page. If I now changed my mind about posting something I see no way of exiting the blog component.
If I select "delete Post" in the initial Post section I get a warning about leaving the page, and if I say leave page it just cycles round to the template bit again.
Unless I am missing something, shouldn't there be a really clear cancel post button somewhere to allow me to cancel everything and go back to my feed?
If there is a way to cancel I don't think it is very clear as I can't find it.
I have attached the screenshot of the leave page point.
Thanks a lot,
Rupert
Hi Rupert,

Thank you very much for your insight view on EasyBlog usability.

In our first plan is the Composer was made to be in modal view, it's easier for users to cancel their progress with (X) button on right top of the screen. But we believed the performance of our Composer would be better on its own page, so we keep this two options open for our customers.

Can you submit this feature request to our Uservoices page for EasyBlog? http://stackideas.com/voices I believed other customers will also benefits from your study on (CANCEL) button.

Please advice, thank you

Ikram,

Thank you. I will certainly do that. However, can you please explain to me how a user can cancel their post currently as I can find no way to do so, as as such think this is a bug rather than a feature request? :-)

Thanks again
Rupert

Hello Rupert,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply as it weekends for all of us here.

I believe you are opening the composer in tmpl mode and not in pop up mode. In pop up mode there is a red X button on top right on the screen in order to cancel the blog post that you are currently writing. Refer my video link here for a better view, http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-06-29_1037.swf . In tmpl mode, you can just simply close the composer browser tab in order to cancel the blog post.
