URLS with an octothorp (#) are not linking

Hi there, One of my users disovered a bug when they post a link that has a # or octothorp/hastag.
The link broken or cut off at the # and appears to split into two parts, the first being the incomplete part of the url, and the second part seems to be treated like a hastag.

It seems that it is a bug.
