Hi Stackideas Team,

I have a question about the URL structure on EasyBlog. Right now I have a fresh installation of the component and all the articles show up in the format my domain.com/this-is-the-blog-title. However, all the sub sections, like categories and bloggers/authors show up in the format mydomain.com/blog/categories or mydomain.com/blog/authors (I changed the menu item bloggers to authors).

The /blog/ part is obsolete, how do I get rid of it? I tried various menu items of the EasyBlog component and set it to Home (default) but no success so far. Appreciate your help, thanks.
Hey there,

If you just want remove the /blog/ from all the Easyblog links, you can just set the (Posts) Frontpage as your homepage.

I realized that you did ask for EasyDiscuss as well and it is impossible to do this for both EasyBlog and EasyDiscuss.

May I know what is your concern that you need to remove the /blog/ and /discussions/ for both respectively?

EDIT : In the end, this is not an issue for me as having this menu page alias in the url allows me to filter the pages having those menu pages selected in the docker plugin.(I don't want the docker on some pages)

I leave my original message here though :

Hi,

I have a specific home page and I don't want to change it to the "post frontpage" nor do I want to have the /blog/ inside my urls...

It looks to be the same with easysocial : I created a dashboard menu and now the word "dashboard" shows inside certains url links in module.

Hey there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it was a weekend for us here.

If that's the case, it is not possible to achieve this currently at this point of time.

For me this is not an issue as it allows me to filter the page I use the docker plugin on.

However I justed wondered why on your demo site, there is nothing added to the URL instead of the behavior we are talking about? for example : http://easyblog.stackideas.com/learn-coding-while-you-are-travelling

The reason that the alias of (Posts) Frontpage menu item is not shown on this url is because this menu item has been set to homepage.
