Hi There,

I purchased URL shortener installed it and decided to bypass EasySocial in SH404SEF, so I set:

By Components -> EasySocial

*(user default handler) Use Joomla! router.php

The URL looks great, URL shortener is working like it supposed to with profiles, I only see my name separated by hyphen without the user ID:

But if I go to other user's profile like Jane Doe:

It will redirect to my profile without any error. So I disabled URL Shortener plugin and the UserID appeared in the URL again but http://www.domain.com/100-jane-doe works this time redirecting to the right profile.

What is the proper setting for bypassing EasySocial in SH404SEF? In v2.0.6 change log "Sh404sef now works if admin configured sh404sef to use joomla router in 'by component' settings."... is this a bug?

Thanks,

Jackson
hey there,

May i know how to find this user profile from your staging site?

Because I've tried to search 'jane' keyword from your staging backend Easysocial user listing page, it seems like do not have this user data.

And I also tested from your staging frontend user listing page access a few user profile page, it seems working fine.

https://xxx.com/my-community/users

Please advise.

Hi Arlex,

Sorry, I don't have a user Jane Doe it was just an example but you can try any user.

You can play around with our staging site including SH404 settings. I set it back to use sh404 though.

Thanks,

Jackson

Hello Lac, i was a SH404SEF user and i had many issues of this type, we decided to stop using it by the advice of the team here and we have no problem with urls, if you dont have a specific need for this extension do not use it, ES handle welll SEF

Hi Jan,

Yeah, it is getting annoying now and to top it all the developer don't know what to say but anyhow unfortunately, our site has tons of contents and not just ES. I will have to plan and find a replacement to be able to manipulate URL.

Thanks,

Jackson
