URL shortener has no affect. It still lookes like this:

https://www.modeltown.org/de/?view=profile&id=397-90&Itemid=457&option=com_easysocial

... anything wrong by me ?
Hello Peter,

The URL shortener actually shortens the URL and it doesn't include the /language/ portion. However, it seems like you have activated the language filter plugin which enforces urls to contain /language/ on the URL. This is why it is redirecting urls on the site.

By the way, great job on your home page, it looks absolutely stunning!

Thanks Mark!
That honors me very much. Do you see a time, when a multi language site is supported by this plugin ? I could imagine, my homepage is not the only one of this kind.

btw (too) ES2 has become really good, although i miss some possibilities & features (adjust mini registration, requester (you know, the free one ;-), which a gladly used. And till now i did not get the difference between built in toolbar-modul and the new Docker. But overall: great performance, good work and congratulations to you and your team.

Hi Peter,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply.

Regarding your EasySocial url shortener plugin, look like you are not using the latest version of 2.0.2. I've upgraded your plugin to latest version and now the url is showing correctly. However, I do have one issue with your menu items assignment for your Joomla templates.

If you go to this page https://www.modeltown.org/en/397-90 , the page is display empty content. I've verified the page is actually reached EasySocial profile page but there is no content displayed. This page currently is using menu item of 471.

May i know which one is the default Joomla templates for your site? Please advise.

Hi Sam,
that's really strange. I know, my templating is a little confused, cause i wanted another menu on the landing page (google don't like that too) and i will have to change this in future. It's little crazy, that the url-plugin activates a template, that is only assigned to the home menu item and not the standard template. The reason for this maybe, that the home menu-item = index page (with the home-de(en) - Template.

Hello Peter,

The url shortener app isn't activating any template It is actually retrieving the menu id that EasySocial should be using and in this case, it detected that the menu id 471 should be used.

The menu id 471 seems to be mapped to the menu item called "profil", http://take.ms/LdBI7 . You need to assign a template to this menu item if you haven't already done so. Otherwise Joomla would fall back to the default template that was selected.

Does this solve your problem?

...yes, but it doesn't do so. It fall back to the template, the index-site (menu item "home") use. But don't worry about that at the moment. I have to improve the structure of the site anyway for SEO reasons.
