Hi Guys!

having a weird issue with the built in discussions for easysocial. When i click a discussion link it loads a new page with a different group in the url. This causes some problems for me as i have modules assigned to the various groups.

go here:
http://www.lf1m.org/starflight-venture-cooperative/item/2-svc/27-discussions

and click on the discussion. notice the URL changes to a different group.
http://www.lf1m.org/lf1m-hearthstone-group/apps/canvas/27-discussions/group/2-svc?customView=item&discussionId=3

it changes from "starflight venture coop" to "lf1m-hearthstone-group"

Site details below
THanks!!
Hey Benjamin,

There's 2 files that were changed but it's in the folder /administrator/components/com_easysocial/includes/router/ . The same fix will be applied on 1.4.3

Hey Benjamin,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply,

I am still investigate on your URL issue, by the way, regarding with your template conflict issue, I figured out is because of this code :
JoomlaFolder/templates/helion/css/template.css
button, .btn, button:hover, .btn:hover {
border:none !important;
-webkit-border-radius:2px !important;
-moz-border-radius:2px !important;
border-radius:2px !important;
}

Regarding with your polls issue, I've tried in your site, but it seems like work for me, perhaps you can take a look of my screenshot below.

Yes, it would be best if you can create a new post for your new issue, so other moderator can assist you quickly.

Hi Arlex! thanks for continuing to look into the URL issue.

Polls: It seems as though only the super user is able to create a new poll. Regular users are unable to create polls in groups.

CSS: is there a work around to get this to work with easysocial? i tried removing the !important from the template.css file

thank you!

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply,

I've help you set group/event polls app default to YES, the group member should be able to create new polls in group/event, can you give it a try now?

CSS: is there a work around to get this to work with easysocial? i tried removing the !important from the template.css file

if you removed above css code then it will break something part?

Hey Benjamin,

Thanks for getting back to us on this. I have tried to reproduce the issue on your site but can't seem to replicate this issue. First I tried to access http://www.lf1m.org/starflight-venture-cooperative/item/2-svc/27-discussions , then, clicked on the discussion title "Which plan should i buy". The page is redirected to http://www.lf1m.org/lf1m-hearthstone-group/apps/canvas/27-discussions/group/2-svc?customView=item&discussionId=3 which is actually correct. Am I missing anything here?

I dont think that is correct...

Why would the group "Starflight-venture-cooperative" redirect to a completely different group "lf1m-Hearthstone"?
shouldnt the discussion stay with the original Starflight group?

thanks

I am actually a little lost here. Both the links above are from the group "Starflight Venture Cooperative". Where does it redirect to lf1m-Hearthstone?

http://www.lf1m.org/starflight-venture-cooperative/item/2-svc/27-discussions
http://www.lf1m.org/lf1m-hearthstone-group/apps/canvas/27-discussions/group/2-svc?customView=item&discussionId=3

Notice that both the group alias is correct "2-svc"

See screenshot...

i have modules linked to menu items such as hearthstone...
when you went here http://www.lf1m.org/starflight-venture-cooperative/item/2-svc/27-discussions and clicked the discussion it loads this page...
http://www.lf1m.org/lf1m-hearthstone-group/apps/canvas/27-discussions/group/2-svc?customView=item&discussionId=3

notice lf1m-hearthstone-group in the url... this causes it to load modules linked to that menu item.

Ah okay I see the problem now. Unfortunately right now there's no way to associate a different view with the group's menu item. I will log this into our issue tracker and try to get this sorted out on the next release.

Go to bed Mark! HA!

I understand about not being able to associate a different view. I just dont want it to reference a different group.

Its hard to make it clear what the problem is. Starflight is 1 group. Hearthstone is another group.
When i click on a discussion made in the Starflight group it should not go to the Hearthstone group.

Take a look at my test site still running ES 1.3 (same user and pass as above)
http://bizzomephisto.com/lf1m_sitedown/starflight-venture-cooperative/item/2-svc/27-discussions
when you click the Discussion notice it doesnt load a different group. it loads this page
http://bizzomephisto.com/lf1m_sitedown/apps/canvas/27-discussions/group/2-svc?customView=item&discussionId=3

notice no "lf1m-hearthstone" in the url.
thats all im after
