Hi,

Upload photos/images is failing again.
Not gaining popularity among users who lose interest.
Could you make this function a little more robust.

Regards,

Hi Arlex,

Please try now, I had accidentally disabled Registered before. Apologies.

There is no error message.

Any image upload associated with Easy Social fails on all browsers.

It was working good before.

Not sure why the change.

Regards,
Nev

I suspect that is your folder permission do not allow writable, mean when uploading a new image file from your site, that image file unable to store in your folder which is -> JoomlaFolder/media/com_easysocial/photos

Can you consult with your webhosting provider double check this file location (JoomlaFolder/media/com_easysocial/..) all folder permission is set to writable permission?

I believe this error is related with your upload issue, try consult with your webhosting provider to help you set this following PHP value with the correct path from your PHP server :
- open_basedir
- upload_tmp_dir

JoomlaFolder/media/com_easysocial/photos

is set a permissions 0755

Do I need to modify permissions and change this?

If so what to?

I believe once your webhosting provider help you set the correct php value as I mentioned at above, it should work fine.

Hi Arlex,

Thank you for the clarity and excellent level of advice.
The issue was indeed at the hosting side internal security setup.
I held back making any changes until I was able to reach a competent person at web hosting and he knew exactly what the issue was.
It relates to them changing servers recently.
He adjusted it immediately and now all uploading works!

Many thanks!

Best Regards,
Nev
