Hello!
After upgrading to version 5 easyblog. I am creating a record and upload images to insert. The problem is that, I load 200kb, but on server in the folder turns 2000kb. My disk space is well worth the money. How can I implement a scheme for which the image is loaded like in Easyblog 3.9??
Is it very BIG problem for me:(
for exaple, I upload image, see in attachment, this imfge have 51Kb, but after upload original image have size 181, and big image size 71kb...and next more 4 image... Is it crazy.. it is a waste of disk space:(

Hi Veyline,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply. It's actually a correct behavior for composer to give variations of image to be used across your blog page. You can however set image resizing from your backend > easyblog > settings > media > general to make the image size lower for each variation.

I think this is an unnecessary option .. Let the blogger to decide which images to add ..

Hi Veyline,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as I've missed out this thread earlier.

Thank you for your kind consideration regarding on this issue. Currently it is not possible to altering this behavior via quick hack. I will forward this request to our developers and hopefully they can get it resolve by adding specific settings so blogger can choose which image that they want to use and discard the unused image on your server disk.

Thank you for your kind understanding.

Hi Ezrul,

I have the same issue.
Is this issue still there or is there a possibility to disbale multiple images for every image i upload. As Veyline mentioned the post above, Is there a reason that every uploaded image creates 5 images in the ftp of the same image but different size?

Kind regards,
hugo

Hey Christian,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. Currently it needs to generate 5 different images in EasyBlog because of the different image sizes.

In EasyBlog 5.1, we plan to scrap this altogether considering that internet is pretty fast these days.

Hey Christian,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. Unfortunately right now we don't have a specific date for the release but we'll definitely be blogging about it as soon as we have a prototype ready
