I did configure Amazon s3 as external storage.

Somehow On button and video is not showing the button to upload on album photo as well as video.

I seen the documentation but it seem there is something missing.

how can I verifiy the settings are right?

even further reading would be helpfull.

Best Regards
Antonio
Hi there,

I think that you've configure the cronjob wrongly because, I've tried to run the cron job manually and the cron was process correctly http://screencast.com/t/wj6z4LddAo . And the photo that I've uploaded show the right path from your remote directory storage http://screencast.com/t/SPSZIHR3p .
You should using the url from the secure url that you've configure in the (settings>generals>email>Secure cronjob key)

Hi there,

Correct me if I'm wrong here, regarding your inquiry, as you setup cloud storage for amazon s3 you unable to upload photos and videos in an album http://screencast.com/t/gNtFu7RX ? If yes, I've inspected that you've configure the 'white' profile type does not allow to upload photos nor video in the site
You can enable the setting back in order the user in the 'white' profile type can upload photos and videos by:
1. Click EasySocial>Profile Types>white>ACL>Enable upload photos and video
refer here: http://screencast.com/t/BuAJMh0LPha8 http://screencast.com/t/xDjrpi2rNL

Hope this helps

Yes correct, I got wrong from the "profile type in easysocial and the group if user of joomla that had same name but different right access.
Sorted the incovenient of the button to upload not showing I still ask about the upload to amazon s3 for video how it works.

I did configure all the required in amazon s3 as well as easysocial, and as a matter of fact after few try accept the configuration, but but when I do the upload it seems is try to encode locally.

If can give suggestion in how implement it you are welcome.

Best Regards

Hi Antonio,

Kindly find my response to your inquiries below:
1. I still ask about the upload to amazon s3 for video how it works
-> The upload video will be go throughout the decode process as you've upload a video in the site. Then after it finish encode, the cron process will upload the video to be stored in the cloud(Amazon s3)

2. I did configure all the required in amazon s3 as well as easysocial, and as a matter of fact after few try accept the configuration, but but when I do the upload it seems is try to encode locally.
-> Correct me if I'm wrong,do you mean after you've upload a video, it still store locally and not in the amazon s3?

Hello Antonio,

Now I get it Yes, you need to configure and set the right path for the FFMPEG (Settings>Videos>Encoding>Path to FFMpeg) in order the upload encode and store correctly.

cause I was doing a test on that too it seems they only on the local server while I setup to s3.

On s3 configuration in easysocial I erased the directory I have made on s3 but nothing .. stay on local server and nothing on s3

Hi Antonio,

Kindly find my response to your inquiries below:
1. while for images I suppose to go to the location of s3 and deleted locally?
-> If you not enable the (Setting>Remote storage>Amazon s3>Delete Files After Upload) The images/video etc. will be store in local as well and not auto deleted. If you want to auto delete the file in local after it upload to the Amazon s3, you can enable this option.

2. cause I was doing a test on that too it seems they only on the local server while I setup to s3.
On s3 configuration in easysocial I erased the directory I have made on s3 but nothing .. stay on local server and nothing on s3

-> May I know did you manage to setup cronjob correctly? and how often the cron process?

Hello Fadhlii,

well as a matter of fact I did not configure before and after a quick review I did install on the plesk 12.5 the activity for cron using as urls https://www.mydomain.com//mydirectory/index.php?option=com_easysocial&task=cron
and as cron style 0,15,30,45 * * * *.
and root as user system.
and on the plesk it seems working

I did enabled cron on easysocial on configuration too in general setting with a Secure cronjob key.

Now don't know but I think is still not working, cause I don't see the upload on s3

Any Suggestion to be applied to Plesk

Best Regards
Antonio
