HI there,

I hope you are get me over the "hump" with customizing a theme. I love this feature, by the way!

I am using Joomla 3.7.5 and Easyblog 5.1.12

I noticed that there are several wonderful themes to choose from. So, I duplicated the Greenie theme, renamed it "Custom", adjusted the xml document, and changed the css rules in style-5.1.12.min. Then, I .zipped it and tried to install it in the themes admin area. However, I get an error:

There was an error installing the theme as the same folder exists in the themes folder.

I have tried removing the path to elements in the params section of the xml, but that did not work.

The reason that I am attempting my own theme is to avoid custom styles in the <head> and avoid losing css changes when Easyblog updates.

Zipped theme is attached.

Thank you in advance for your help!
Mary
Hey Mary,

If there is only some css styling changes, we would recommended that add your custom css styling into Easyblog, you can check my attached screenshot below how to add your custom css through Easyblog backend configuration page, so you do not need to install new theme from backend.

Hope this will help.
