Hi,

I've been using both JReview and EasySocial on my site. I just upgraded to v1.0.9 of ES. Everything looks fine when I logged into the system. However, when I log out, I see on the unity page (mydomain.com/community), some of the icons show component names instead of 'Favorites' or 'Upgrading' etc, see attached picture below. Also on that page, I see HTML tags shown up in the stream contents.

So is this the JReview issue or EasySocial issue? How to solve this? Please help, thanks.
Hello Shaw,

Hm, looks like it's missing a language file. Can you try checking with Alejandro and see if the package includes the language file? I could help you to check this though but I need the back end and FTP access as well as the package.

Thanks for updating Shaw, let me know how this goes. There could be some delays in our reply as some of us are flying off to Thailand today to attend the Joomladay Thailand

Hi Mark,

They helped me installing a correct version of ES stream activity App. However, the stream on the Unity page still won't get updated or synced with JReviews contents. I apparently added some new reviews, but those are not shown in the stream. The current stream contents are the ones that were added before I upgraded to v1.0.9 of ES. And all the labels are not displayed correctly.

Can you please provide any clue/solutions to this? Thanks.

Hello Shaw,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as I was currently not available during the weekend as I was attending a Joomla conference in Thailand.

Hm, what is your current privacy settings for your profile? Was it set to public?

Thanks Mark. You're right - I changed privacy settings before I did the upgrading - that might have screwed up all the label display on the Unity page. So I changed settings back to original and deleted all the items with incorrect labels and re-submitted some new listings, then the labels got shown correctly.

So what would you suggest for future upgrades? Should I always change privacy settings back to original and then do the upgrading?? Please advise. Thanks.

Hello Shaw,

Hm, when you upgrade it doesn't reset the privacy. The privacy will only get changed if the user modifies it (After inheriting from the profile)
