Still having problem after roll back to previous back up. And I see this error message:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 1637875712 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 2 bytes) in /home/biz-online.hk/biz-online/libraries/joomla/database/driver/mysqli.php on line 811

Is it usual to need 1.6 G memory for Easyblog? Is there memory leaking at Easyblog?

Pls adivse...Still recovering my site.

Hi Alrex,

It is rolled back to Wednesday back up now. We have to increase the Memory Size to 2.5 G to make Easyblog work again. Something is wrong here.

I re-entered all site info and also mysql access in this post for your checking.

We are using the database bizdata02.

Pls check the table easyblog_acl_group, it has 5.5M rows of records. It is unreasonable.

I downgrade to Easyblog 5.0.18.

Pls have to a check. It seems there is some memory leaking problem in ES.

Many thanks.

Hey Seth,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

You're right, that was because this table `#__easyblog_acl_group` got heavy data stored, so when installation that time hitting out of memory limit, because it load all the data from this table.

By the way, I've help you truncate this table all the data, the update is working fine now.

May you tell me why this happens? I mean the table size of #__easyblog_acl_group` grows unreasonably large.

I see my another site using easyblog has a similar problem. It's table size is now 4.7 K rows. What should I do?

Is it a bug of Easyblog ? Will this be fixed?

Hey Seth,

That was not a bug, I believe one of the possibility is all those huge data was came from Easyblog 3.9, after that we added some new rule in this table `#__easyblog_acl` Easyblog 5. When you change some settings from your backend > Easyblog > ACL , the system will store each ACL rule in your `#__easyblog_acl_group`.

By the way, It would be safe to remove all the data in that table.
You can use this following query truncate all data in this table and re-save again the ACL each use group settings :

// Replace #__ to your table prefix
TRUNCATE TABLE `#__easyblog_acl_group`;

Hope this helps.
