upgrade from joomla 1.5

I will share my experience on that: I thought is not possible ,and I was about to discard my old joomla 1.5 ,but I'm glade to share it with everyone here


backup-backup-backup
login to phpmyadmin
select old joomla database for 1.5
select tables starting with js_discuss
export them
==
open the new joomla databse
import the tables u extracted
install easydiscuss


I successfully made it ,however I STILL CAN'T LINK EASY-SOCIAL PROFILE ,even if it s enabled in setting,every time I click on easy-discuss profile -DOSE-NOT redirects to easy-social
Nice, thanks for sharing You can integrate with EasySocial by accessing EasyDiscuss settings page and under the Layout > Avatars, ensure that the profile linking is set to EasySocial

also u need to move

images/discuss_cavatar
images/discuss_avatar

the olny thing remains that you need to regenrate the thumbnails of the image attachments (Im working on how to do this)

Your are welcome ,another thing I did is to optimize the databases using phpmyadmin.

but I still cant figure out how to regenerate the thumbnails of the "old" images attachments

Unfortunately in EasyDiscuss we do not perform any "image manipulations" actually.
