Upgrade EasyBlog v5.1.12

Hi, our site, http://www.gcex.org is currently on Joomla 2.5.8 and needs to be upgrade to Joomla 2.5.28, before we migrate to Joomla 3. We are runnig EasyBlog Professional v5.1.12. My questions is: What would be the process to upgrade to latest Joomla 3 EasyBlog. Do we first upgrade the EasyBlog component, and then upgrade the Joomla 2.5.8?

You do not need to update Easyblog yet, perhaps you can check my following steps and see how it goes.

1. update your Joomla version 2.5.8 to 2.5.28
2. then upgrade to Joomla 3.x latest version 3.8 (this step I am not sure whether Joomla got a documentation to guide how to upgrade to Joomla 3.x from Joomla 2.5)
3. Once you updated Joomla 3.8 then only update to latest version of Easyblog.

Note : It would be best if you can do this upgrade from your development site in case got any mistake, it will not affect on your live site.
