Updating EB 3

I have tried twice to update from EB version 3.9.19775 to version 3.9.24862

However on both occasions it has crashed with an error message similar to the one below;

Warning: require_once(.../public_html/media/foundry/3.1/joomla/framework.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /.../public_html/components/com_easyblog/constants.php on line 228


Luckily I have a backup so was able to restore on both occasions. What is thie isue? I have seen this mentioned on another post as well so it's not just me.

Unable to provide ftp as site is localhost

Hey Johnny,

How are you updating? You shouldn't use the "update" feature within EasyBlog. Instead, you should install it via Joomla's Extension Manager instead.

I am using the update feature within EasyBlog. Why is it there if I shouldn't be using it? Working at this all day

Hey Johnny,

Since 3.9.x, we can't "hide" the button as these files are already on the site

When I look at it via Joomla's Extension Manager it says

There are no updates available at the moment. Please check again later.


Cleared cache, logged in/out.

Hey Johnny,

You actually need to upload the zip file which you downloaded from our site earlier. Do you have the latest 3.9.x ?
